Marketing is one of the longest levers to pull in your organization. You might complain that your average sales cycle take more than 70 days. But imagine all that went into the funnel before that prospect entered your pipeline. Before you can bring in a prospect, your marketing team has to:

  • Understand your ideal customer, their pains, their dreams and where they live
  • Build out communication channels
  • Attract new visitors through unnatural acts
  • Try their best to project manage artists and print bureaus

Additionally, marketing takes creativity and a frequent enemy of creativity is rushed group-think.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that most executives understand how critical marketing is to their success, marketing initiatives are often an afterthought. By the time you start worrying about marketing, it’s already too late to do anything about it.
